Facial Aging

BOOK THIS TREATMENT

Tell us how you feel about your face. Do you find yourself looking tired, sad, angry, old?

We can explain what has developed over time and develop a plan to help address your concerns.

Facial aging is due to loss of the foundations the face (bony structure), loosening of facial ligaments, and fat shrinkage of facial fat compartments. Along with the continued action of facial muscles – this leads to facial lines and the appearance of fatigue and sagging.

Facial rejuvenation requires attention to improvement of skin tone (by reducing brown spots and red marks), skin texture (fine lines and muscle hyperactivity creases) and re-establishment of facial foundations and contours.

        1. Skin tone – treatment of brown spots can be achieved by surface treatments including fading creams, cryotherapy, light facial peels and lasers/IPL.
        2. Skin texture – fine lines can be treated by facial creams containing retinol and vitamin C, superficial injections of hyaluronic acid (Skin Boosters TM), and chemical peels. Muscle hyperactivity lines (forehead, frown, crow’s feet lines) can best be treated with Botox TM
        3. Volume loss of bone and fat compartments – can be effectively addressed by use of fillers. Hyaluronic acid fillers have different characteristics in viscosity, cohesivity and elasticity. Products with high cohesivity are needed for vertical lift or projection while those of low cohesivity, viscosity and medium elasticity are needed for areas such as lips to allow for normal appearance with movement and minimal risk of lumpiness.

During your consultation, Dr. Tan will listen to your concerns, examine your skin and help develop a personalized rejuvenation blueprint to help you achieve your desired goals.
