How Hydrafacial™ Works
Hydrafacial™ is a non-invasive, advanced skincare treatment that goes beyond a traditional facial. A Hydrafacial™ provides deeper penetration and more long-term results, using a patented device to open pores and extract impurities and dead skin cells.
As we treat your skin, we provide personalized serums to provide active ingredients to rehabilitate and heal the areas we treat.
Hydrafacial™s are known to treat a long list of skin concerns, including, but not limited to, fine lines and wrinkles, acne, enlarged pores, congestion, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, dry or dehydrated skin, oily skin, blackheads, whiteheads, and skin texture.

A Hydrafacial™ session typically lasts 30-45 minutes. A busy individual can schedule a session during their lunch break on a work day and enjoy immediate results with no downtime. It’s fast, easy, and no need to stay home to allow time for your skin to heal like with other treatments.

Preparing For Your Hydrafacial™ Treatment
As with a lot of our cosmetic procedures at Healthy Image Center, you want to prepare your skin prior to a session.
- Limit sun exposure for at least 24 hours prior to a Hydrafacial™ and the 24 hours following.
- Avoid any harsh scrubs, chemical peels, or retinoid usage on the skin for at least two days prior.
- Avoid shaving the area for at least 24 hours prior to avoid irritation.
- Do not wear makeup on the day of your Hydrafacial™. Leave your skin clear.
- Avoid the use of any specialized skincare products on the day of, including those containing topical retinoids or salicylic acid.
- Do not get another facial or chemical peel for at least two weeks prior to your Hydrafacial™.

Prepare Your Skin
Before the Hydrafacial™, it’s essential to carefully clean the skin to remove impurities and ready it for treatment.
Hydrafacial™ Begins
A wand glides across the skin using vortex fusion technology to open the pores. A mild glycolic peel is then used to exfoliate. A vacuum-like suction is applied to deeply clean pores and perform extractions. Hydrating antioxidants are applied to nourish the skin. Lastly, you receive any custom boosters and add-ons you’ve opted for to address specific skin concerns.
Post-Hydrafacial™ Care
After your Hydrafacial™, remember to be gentle with your skin for a few days. Do not use any exfoliants, avoid sun exposure, and try to avoid touching your face for the 48 hours after. Use sunscreen with at least an SPF 30 or higher for 3-5 days after. Begin to reintroduce your skincare regimen on the third day following a session.

Is Hydrafacial™ different from microdermabrasion and chemical peels?
